From Denaby to Conisbrough
Church Organist’s New Post
After the carol service: at, Denaby Parish Church, On Sunday evening i the Vicar, the Rev. F. Herrington, on behalf of the choir and the church, thanked Mr. Percy Webb, the organist and choirmaster (who is leaving this week), for his services to ,the church since he took, over the duties in 1947
The Vicar wished him much happiness at Conisbrough, at which church he is taking over similar duties, and hoped he would have a successful career.
Mr. Webb, responding, said he had been quite happy at Denaby Main and in the early part of his time with them they had achieved success and had been a “great choir.” He hoped that they would again reach great heights and give support to whoever took over the duties at the church.
The Vicar said they, would have the pleasure at a later date of meeting. Mr Webb, when, they hoped to make a presentation as a mark of esteem.
