Fullerton Hospital.
No Reduction of Loan
Prospects Brighter

The annual meeting of the Fullerton hospital, Denaby Main, was held in the large Hall, Denaby Main, on Monday, and was attended by less than 20 subscribers. A meeting of the hospital board was held previously and somewhat delayed the commencement of the general meeting.

Mr W. Stead presided and at the opening asked the secretary to read the minutes of the last general meeting.

Mr J. T. E. Collins said he fought the first duty of the chairman was to apologise to the contributors in attendance for the half hour delay.

Apologies and explanations were given by the chairman and secretary (Mr F. R. Johnson) and the meeting proceeded.

Supporting the chairman were the members of the board along with Mr R. B. Gethin (trustee) and Drs. J. McArthur, T. Lindsay, T. Forde and D. M. Bell.

The chairman mentioned that they had not been able to pay anything of the loan this year, but as the collieries had set more men on that meant an increase in subscriptions and probably they would be able to do more in the future. With reference to the small attendance, he thought that they might take it that their contributors were sufficiently satisfied with the work of the board.

He expressed thanks of the board for the Jubilee gift of the Denaby and Cadeby collieries, Ltd., of the radiant heat bath bed, which was a great asset to the hospital. He paid tribute to the work of the staff’s, medical, nursing, and domestic, and thanked the board for their assistance during this year of office.
