Helping Hand

To assist in providing a 13-year-old boy, Arnold Taylor, son of Mrs and the late Mr Thomas Taylor, of ParkRoad, Conisbrough, with an artificial leg, silver paper is being collected by Conisborough people forwarded to a hospital near Guiseley.

A hundredweight has already been sent, but nine more will be required before the limb can be purchased.

A disease ankle led to Arnold losing part of his leg about seven years ago. The disease spread, and the limb was subsequently amputated.

Miss Blackburn, headmistress of Morley place school. Conisbrough, conceived the idea of saving the paper.
