At the time of the Census John Henderson lived with his wife of 11 years, Edith, aged 31.

Also in the house at 65 Balby Street were sons, Edmund, Ernest and Harold aged 10 years, 8 years and 1 year respectively. Also daughter May aged 4 years.

Edith came from Chapeltown and all the family were born in Denaby.
