Horse Sensation

A sensation was caused in the Conisbrough district on Friday, when it became known that a valuable horse belonging to Mr W.H.Chambers, of Dale House, and killed itself by running into the wall of the Conisbrough gasworks.

It appears that while the attendant was transacting some business, at the house of Mr Chambers, the horse bolted. Its progress could not be stopped until it had come into violent collision with the wall.

Happily there was nothing in the way of the horse’s mad career or the result might have been more serious still.
