Hurrah For The Castle Boys!

Hurrah! For the Castle boys,
Who’ve gallantly won the Cup,
Who needn’t be dry for long,
For they’ve something from which to sup.

Hurrah! For the Castle team,
Who’ve captured the silver pot,
To the grief and surprise of the folks,
Who fancied the other lot.

Three cheers for the Castle town,
That gave to these heroes birth,
And ought to be proud of its lads,
Who’ve pluckily proved their worth.

Three cheers for the lads themselves,
For every man jack is game,
And a credit, what’s more, to the folks
Of the village from which he came.

Good luck to the Castle boys,
The boys in the gold and black,
Sturdy in their defence,
Dashing in their attack.

Good luck to the heroes bold,
For they worthily earned their win,
And good luck to the lads themselves,
And the whole of their kith and kin.

Success to the Castle boys,
And now they have won the Cup
May the day be a long way off
When they’re fated to give it up.

May it long on their sideboards shine,
And whenever, I’m passing by,
If I call at the club’s abode,
May I never find the inside dry.
