If Conisbrough Landlords Fail
It Conisbrough landlords fail to keep their property in a reasonable state of repair, Conisbrough Urban Council, acting under the terms of the Housing Act, will execute the repairs and charge the cost to the landlord concerned.
Revealing this at the Council meeting on Wednesday, Coun. H. Williams, chairman of the Public Health Commitee, said some landlords we’re not putting up their rents, but at the same time were failing to ensure that the property was in a proper state of repair. “Houses are falling to pieces and people are living in inconvenient surroundings,” he said.
