Indecent Exposure at Conisborough

Horace Deakin, a pony driver, of new Denaby, in custody was charged with indecently exposing himself in public at Conisborough.

Mrs Evans, a lady living close by where the offence was committed, was placed in the witness box, and stated that at about 7 o’clock on the evening of 27 September she was called out my little girl and ongoing out she saw the defendant the act of buttoning up his garments.

She asked him if he was not ashamed of himself for doing such things before children. He replied by sending to break her jaw.

Prisoner was not defended, and was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with hard labour, the Chairman remarking that the offence was one that ought to be stopped.
