Ivanhoe and Breedon Scored a Great Double.

Barry Breedon and is Conisbrough Ivanhoe team took the top billing in northern time trials last Sunday with a great double win in the Morley C.C’s open “25” on the Boroughbridge course.

The champion, smarting from his previous week’s defeat, pulled out the fastest ride in Britain this year to win in 55 min 19 seconds, leading a classy field of Yorkshire and Lancashire rivals by nearly 2 minutes

it was the fastest ride ever to be recorded in any time trial on Yorkshire roads, affirming Barry’s number one ranking. He has now written 25 miles in less than 56 min on five occasions, I must have a great chance of improving the British record (54 min 20 seconds) before the summer is out.

Best Aggregate.

The Morley race also marked the return to winning ways of the Conisbrough Ivanhoe team, Tony Moffat doing a 58 min 39 seconds ride and Brian Hodkin 59 – 27 to support Breeden in their best team aggregate since last July, two hours 58 min 25 seconds
