Last Sunday Conisbrough cycling club’s run to Otley was again well attended, 24 members attending.

Capt B Sheridan led the main party of 20 riders, amongst whom were K.G.Watkin and G.Smith. Another party, G.A.Todd, W Lievesley, Andy Millward, riding to Aysgarth on Saturday, spent the night at Aysgarth Falls youth hostel

From the hostel a Moonlight tour was made of the waterfalls, more impressive than usual, because of the swollen state of the river.

On Sunday, returning via Kidstone Pass, where the higher slopes were covered with snow, and Grassington, they joined the club at Otley. Tea was taken at Wentbridge.

At a meeting in the clubroom in the evening, Mrs K.Firth and J.Marshall were elected auditors from 1955.

Next Sunday’s club run to Ingbirchworth (Tea, Owler bar) starts from the Red Lion Hotel at 9 am.
