Knocked Down By Runaway

Conisborough Man’s Accident at Doncaster.

On Saturday afternoon. Francis Hanley, aged 74, of North Cliff, Conisbro’, met with a serious accident in the Doncaster Market Place, where he was knocked down by runaway horse.

The animal belonged to Mr. Constantine, and was running from Fisher Gate towards Sunny Bar, which is the direction of its stable, when it caught Mr. Hanley in the back and knocked him down. It was at once seen that le was seriously injured, and obtained the police ambulance and conveyed him to the Infirmary. He had wound on the forehead and a broken rib, and was suffering from concussion of the brain.

Owing his critical condition his friends were communicated with. Last night had recovered consciousness, and was progressing well can be expected, considering his great age.
