Knocking down a Sergeant at Conisborough.

John Joyce, miner, Conisborough, was charged with riding a bicycle without giving warning of approach.

P. S. Woodhall stated that on Saturday, the 7th inst, at 2 PM., he was on duty in Church Street, Conisborough, when defendant (who did not appear), coming behind at a furious rate and without giving warning upset him in the middle of the road.

Defendant was attempting to re mount, when witness got up and took his name and address.

A fee of £1 inclusive was imposed.
