A 22 years old Conisbrough student who has gained a B.A. Honours Degree in Law and Philosophy has obtained a lecturing post in London.

He is Geoffrey Birch, of the Vicarage, Conisbrough, who has just finished a three years course at Hull University. In September Geoffrey, a former student of Conisbrough Northcliffe High School. Doncaster Technical College and Mexborough Grammar School, will take up his post as a lecturer in law at the East London College of Commerce. He intends to read for the bar, and is a Lincolns Inn student.

At university, Geoffrey was a member of the Philosophy and Law Society, and also wrote for the student magazine ‘Torchlight’. While he was on the magazine staff, he interviewed the Beatles.
