Mr. A. Meredith of 113, Doncaster Road, Denaby Main, has now gone on to the pension fund at Denaby Colliery after nearly fifty years employment there.

He was in the underground workings until a short time ago when he obtained surface employment.

Mr. Alan Gibson, of 92, Cliff View, Denaby Main, has been employed at the Denaby Colliery for 47 years, first as a banksman and latterly as screenworker, and Mr. W. Hodgson, of 47, Maltby Street, Denaby Main, has given 28 years service at the Denaby and Cadeby Collieries.

He commenced at Cadeby Colliery in 1913, and was transferred to the Denaby Colliery in 1917. Mr. George Parkes, who lives at 28, Market Street, Mexborough, has worked at Denaby Colliery surface for 30 years.
