Important alterations are to be made at Mexborough Theatre during the recess. Orchestra stores have been arranged, and other alterations to add to the comfort of playgoers.
A burglary took place at Mexborough Theatre on Sunday night, when an unsuccessful attempt was made to force open the safe. A few shillings and a few packages of chocolate were all that the intruders could secure.
The Hospital Committee are making a big effort this Feast week to pay off the x-ray debt et cetera. We trust their enterprise will be rewarded.
District Chief Superintendent W.H.Chambers, superintendent H.S. Witty, Honorary surgeon J.J. Huey, with other members of the Denaby Division of the St John Ambulance Brigade, and 16 nursing sisters will be on special duty in London on Coronation Day .
