Scrambling in Goalmouth.

Boston United 4 Denaby United 3

Boston United at home against Denaby on Saturday were playing their fourth game in eight days.

And when the visitors were leading 2-0 after 29 min, it certainly looked as if they would be have no difficulty in taking home both points.

But Boston reduced arrears 5 minutes before the interval and 6 minutes after the restart were on level terms.

The play was no more evenly contested, and it was due to a mixup in the Denaby goal that Boston luckily took the lead in the 55th minute.

Missed Ball.

Hough dived to get the ball, missed and fell. Then there was a few hectic second of scrambling, which ended when Longworth shot and the ball was deflected off two defenders before going into the empty net.

In the 73rd minute Vest netted with a brilliant shot to make the lead 4-2.

Denaby’s first two goals were given away by Boston’s Rigby, the ex-Peterborough pivot. Firstly brought down Wild just outside the penalty box. Tattersley´s
shop for the free kick was deflected by one of the lined up defenders well wide of Daly

Next , Rigby´s bad back pass went for a corner. From this, the ball went to Wild who netted with a slick header. The same player scored again in the 75th minute
