Midland League Games.

A draw of 2—2 was fair result to a fast and entertaining game between Denaby United and Scunthorpe United last evening.

Denaby were the more persistent in attack the early part of the game, but Baines kicked well and Bromage was safe in the Scunthorpe goal. At the other end Taylor and Ashall generally kept a check on the Scunthorpe forward line, but several scoring chances were, missed

Three quick goals followed the resumption. Oakton scored for Scunthorpe, but Law equalised and immediately put second, and from that point Denaby had another long spell of attacking. A breakaway on the left resulted Oakton equalising.

Grantham obtained a striking revenge for their defeat nine goals to nothing by beating Bradford City Res. 4—0 at Valley Parade yesterday. The defeat was a serious blow to Bradford City’s championship hopes, and the “Paraders” have now only three matches in hand of the leaders, Grimsby Town Reserves, who are four points ahead.
