Place of Honour at 96
In a position of honour at Manver’s Main Vesting day celebrations on Sunday was 96 year old Mr Edward Stead, of Swinton, who began work at Lundhill Colliery and his union membership in 1883. He worked at Manvers Main for 54 years.
he Manvers Main branch of the N.U.M. provided a car to take him to the ceremony.
