New NCB Housing Estate at Conisbrough is Creating a Problem

The new NCB housing estate at Conisbrough is creating a problem for the Rowena Infants School. More and more children are coming to the school from this estate and the Hall is having to be used as an extra classroom.

The school was built to accommodate 240 children but there are now 270 on roll.

Miss B.E.Say (headmistress) said this week that children are been coming in steadily since September, and all of five years old of five before a full first. Miss say will not take April, May, June or July children before September.

Attendances are high for this time of the year the school has been controlled by any sort of epidemic so far.
