New General Manager at Denaby, Cadeby and Maltby Collieries

Mr Norman Hully, who left the Terrace, Conisbrough, for Bessacarr, Doncaster, this week, was appointed general manager of Denaby, Cadeby and Maltby Collieries, in November last year.
He began his mining career with the Denaby Mining Group as a mining student and became assistant manager at Denaby Main. From 1927 to 1931 he was manager of Maltby colliery. In 1931 he returned to Denaby as manager, and in November, 1938 he was promoted agent.

During the war he became agent of Huntington and Dinnington collieries of the Amalgamated Denaby Collieries group. At Denaby he was treasurer of Fullerton hospital and actively associated with their ambulance movement, the Denaby main institute and numerous colliery organisations. He held the rank of major in the home guard and the command of Denaby company.
