Roy Tatton

The death occurred at his home on Tuesday, of Mr Roy William Tatton of “The Hawthornes,” Doncaster Road, Conisbrough.

Mr Tatton was assistant Purchasing Officer for the National Coal Board No. 3 Area. He started as a stores clerk at Denaby. He was 50.

Mr. Tatton was a well-known church worker. He was Parish Church magazine secretary for many years, a member of the Parochial Church Council, and a sidesman at the Parish Church.

He had lived at “The Hawthornes” for nearly 20 years since his marriage. He was born in Mexborough.

Mr. Tatton leaves a widow, Mrs. Noreen Agnes Tatton.

The funeral service will be at the Parish Church today (Friday) followed by cremation in Sheffield.
