Old People’s Tea

May 1928

Sheffield Daily Telegraph – Thursday 03 May 1928

About 300 of the old people of Conisborough and Denaby over the age of 65 were given their annual tea and concert in the Denaby and Cadeby Miners’ Welfare Hall last evening.

The treat is provided out of a fund of £50 raised by social functions organised by a committee, of which Mr. W. Marshall is the president, and Mr. W. H. Rylatt secretary.

The oldest guest was Mrs, Frampton, of Dearne Street, Denaby, who was 89 yesterday. She came to Conisborough 60 years ago.
