Parkwood Springs 5 Conisborough Castle 0
At Shirecliffe-lane. The home eleven kicked down hill, and immediately registered a goal, which was put through by J. H. Smith. The home team had almost all their own way, the ball being continually within the vicinity of the Conisborough goal, and before half-time the Parkwood men landed two more between the posts, kicked by G. W. B. Wheatcroft and J. H. Smith respectively.
After ends were changed the visitors’ backs and goal-keeper were still kept well at it, as the Brothers Wheatcroft, C. Talbot, and J. H. Smith kept pegging away the Conisborough stronghold, and before very long J. H. Staveley scored a fourth goal.
There was now a bit of fast play, which caused a many ” spills;” after which the borne team scored another goal, also put through by J. H. Smith, the match ending in favour of Parkwood by five goals to nil.
