Polluted Water Supplies

Councillor Warns People who would insist upon using polluted water after the new water system had been introduced, were warned by Mr. G. O. Randerson at last night’s meeting of Old Denaby Parish Council.

The clerk, Mr. R. Dunn, reported that work had been started on the £2,100 scheme for providing Old Denaby with a piped supply.

“We still run up against some people,” said Mr. Randerson, who say they will not take the supply. As the representative of the public health authority, I shall do all in my power to bring in compulsory powers where necessary.”

Residents should appreciate the outlay which was being made for such a small return. Authority had been given for buying land for overcrowding and slum clearance houses and old people’s bungalows.
