Presentation Day at Denaby.

A Valued Colliery Official

At the Denaby Main Colliery Institute on Saturday Mr. T. Jones who was for 9 years under manager of the deep seam at Denaby main colliery, was the recipient of a presentation subscribed for by the officials and workmen on his leaving to take up a similar post at South Kirkby.

In making the presentation, which took the form of a handsome cabinet of table cutlery, Mr. H. C. Harrison , agent of the collieries spoke in the highest terms of valuable work done by Mr. Jones, his remarks being endorsed by other gentlemen present, Mr. H. M. Smith, late manager of Denaby Colliery, and Mr. W. Still, the present manager.

There was a large attendance and an enjoyable programme of music was contributed by local singers.
