Property Sold

The sum of £4,230 was paid for six lots of property, houses, cottages and shops, at an auction sale at the Star Hotel, Conisbrough, on Tuesday.

Messrs. D. L. Staniland and co were the auctioneers.

Nos. 1 and 2, Yew Terrace, Low Road, Conisbrough, two terrace houses containing parlour, living room, kitchen and two bedrooms were bought by Mr A. Lewis (Dunscroft) for £475.

Nos 3 and 4, Yew Terrace, comprising a house, shop and store and containing sales shop, kitchen and four bedrooms and storerooms were also bought by Mr A. Lewis for £650.

The site of the Old Hall Wellgate, Conisbrough, with an estimated area of 2800 yd.² was bought by Mr Angus for £45.

Numbers. 125 to 135 (odd numbers), 6 terrace houses each containing living room, kitchen and two bedrooms and attic bedroom, were bought by Messrs, Oxley and Coward for a client for £1200, and 1400 and was paid by Messrs. Oxley and Coward for Nos 137 to 149 (odd numbers), Park Road, Conisbrough, comprising six houses and a corner house and shop containing sales shop, warehouse, kitchen, parlour, three bedrooms and two attic bedrooms.
