Railway Development In South Yorkshire.

New railways in South Yorkshire are becoming numerous, an unmistakable evidence of the development of the great coalfield. A new railway is about to pass through Conisborough Parks, over the Edlington side runs through Silverwood with the Hull and Barnsley at Gowdall.  The Great Central and the Hull and Barnsley are the companies interested.

The new line will cross the Conisborough Parks, owe the Edlington side of the Isolation Hospital. and forward to the South Yorkshire Main Colliery.

As there are valuable deposits of iron and clay in that portion through through which the line passes, there is every prospect of new industries being opened out.

The new railway will be 28 miles long.
