Driver Albert Raynor, son of Mr and Mrs James Raynor, 23 Braithwell Street, Denaby Main, died of pneumonia in France on October 27.

He had been serving since January 1915, and went to France eight weeks, after enlistment. Until he fell ill with pneumonia he had escaped injury or mishap of every kind.

He was 27 and single, and was formerly employed at the Denaby main colliery.

Two of his brothers John and Archibald, have been discharged with wounds after serving with the Y and L.
