Rossington Street School & Trip to Wembley Exhibition (pictures)

Mrs. C. Richardson, White House, Denaby Lane, Old Denaby, has very kindly shown us two old prints –of a charabanc outing in one of the erstwhile solid tyre vehicles, and of a school group taken at Rossington Street School in about 1916.

“I, myself, am on this photo (says Mrs, Richardson) and lots more who live in Conisbrough and Denaby.”

She mentions that the charabanc belonged to a Wombwell firm and believes it is over 40 years since the photograph was taken. The trippers were off to a Wembley Exhibition and Mrs. Richardson says two or three of the men in the photo are still living—and seventy years old or more.
