Runaway Lodger

To-day, at Doncaster West Riding Court, Joseph Stockton, filler, was charged with stealing pair of boots, pair of clogs, and vest and muffler, value £1 belonging to George Waterhouse, collier, Conisborough.

Prisoner stayed at the house on Monday night, and when he left next morning he took the articles named.

He was met Police-constable Cousens, who examined his bundle, and then let him proceed his way.

Later the articles were missed and information given to the police, prisoner eventually being apprehended at Rotherham last night

He was remanded until Saturday
