One of the most promising youngsters Denaby have “discovered” recently is Aubrey Scriven, the nineteen-years-old left winger who is making good with them this season.

He comes from Shropshire, being born at Bridgenorth, but has lived at Warmsworth since childhood. Denaby have taken him straight out of Doncaster and District Amateur League football, wherein he played with Warmsworth, who won the championship last season.

During last season he had a “hat-trick of hat tricks”, and scored sixteen or seventeen goals in all, which is a pretty big bag for an outside winger.

His form so far this season indicates a football future for him. He is fast, as good ball control, centres accurately, and shoots strongly from all angles.

When he gains complete confidence in himself he should be one of the most dangerous wingers in the Midland League.
