Nightmares for Denaby.

Denaby United 0 Worksop Town 5

after their 7-1 Middling League defeat by Worksop almost 2 weeks before, and this 5-0 F.A., Culp First Qualifying Round defeat on Saturday, Denaby United will be having black and yellow striped nightmares.

For the second time this season Worksop were just too fast. Generally have the determination – Robel cost twice as much as anyone else – it’s the method that’s a little weak.

Works were quickly to see their opportunities, and quicker to take them, although in the second half their passing started to go astray and they let chances go by. But they could afford to.

Four Corners.

In the first 5 min of the game Worksop had four Corners. Their forwards swarmed around the Denaby goal, but after 14 anxious minutes for the defence Worksop’s first call came from full-back Mellors with a surprise shot from 25 yards out.

The shot didn’t look likely to cause trouble, but it bounced and skidded past the sprawling Hough just inside the post.

Hough was kept busy with shots from Middleton and Tracey and at the other end Wharam could not reach a low centre from Roebuck which needed little more than a touch to put it past Holmes
On the half hour Leadbeater made a tremendous effort to get to Tracey centre and head the second past Hough. 2 minutes later Nicholson, again from Tracey´s pass, score the third, and in the 38th minute Leadbeater slid in Cannadine´s centre to give Worksop a 4-0 half-time lead.

Second Hat Trick.

Although not quite the power they were in the first half, Worksop were still very firmly on top after the the interval. 5 min from the end, after chances are gone begging all the second half, Leadbeater,
standing on minute penalty spot, scored research – and his second hat-trick at Tickhill square in less than a fortnight

Team: Hough; Whant, Foster; Ainscough, Wright, Saul; Naylor, Bellamy, Wood, Wharham, Roebuck
