Signs for United

15-year-old James Blakemore, an apprentice electrician and former right back with Don and Dearne schools FA, has now signed on schoolboy forms with Sheffield United.

A former pupil at Conisbrough Northcliffe High School, James lives at 5 Marr Street, Denaby, and played for both the junior and senior teams of the Don and Dearne Association.

He was one of the boys chosen to act as ballboys at England v West Germany schools International.

“He thoroughly enjoyed the outing and had a wonderful time,” said his father. “He had been to Wembley before but had never been on the pitch.”
