Slackness in The Pit
Miners Revive Absenteeism Boards At Denaby.

Presenting a gold watch and illuminated address on behalf of the and Cadeby Heroes Fund Committee, to Corporal Arthur Robinson, K.O.Y.L.I., 103 Loversall Street, Denaby Main, Mr. W H- Chambers, managing director of the Denabv and Cadeby Collieries, Ltd , contrasted the devotion of the men at the front to the tendency to slackness of some miners at home, and said that following recent comments of this head made to a similar gathering,  a mass meeting of the Denaby and Cadeby miners unanimously decided to revive the Absenteeism Boards and make every effort to stimulate the men to regular attendance at work.

He very much appreciated that, and hoped that the spirit shown at and Cadeby would have a good effect throughout Yorkshire.
