Private William Petty (35), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Petty, of 68, Balby Street, Denaby Main, has been serving in the Army since March.
He attended Station Road School, Denaby, and before joining up worked at the brickyard.
He is a member of the Salvation Army and is married.
