Saved by Cigarette Case

Harry Trout, 14, Newhill Villas, Conisborough, who is one of three brothers serving their King, and whose photographs were published recently, has had a very narrow escape.

He was saved by his cigarette case, which was in his vest pocket. A bullet went through it and lodged in the clothes, but fortunately Trout escaped any injury.

Trout has sent both the cigarette case and the ball home to keep as a souvenir of his fortunate experience.
