 Son and Daughter Serving

Mrs. J. F. Parkin, of 49, Warmsworth Street, is proud to have two of her family serving in H.M. Forces.

They are Miss Helen Parkin (20), who is with the W.A.A.F., and Pte. Harold Parkin (23), who is “somewhere in England”, with an infantry regiment, where he has been for two years.

Both were born in Denaby and Helen attended Rossington Street School while Harold was educated at Mexborough Secondary School.

Before joining up Helen worked in Derbyshire and Harold at Denaby Main Colliery as a screen hand.
