Stoppages at Denaby and Cadeby pits

The number of strikes through the alleged grievances of haulage hand in the Yorkshire coffee was further increased yesterday by stoppages at both Denaby and Cadeby collieries at Conisbrough.

Yesterday morning haulage username left there working complain that the shorting of haulage labour made it impossible to keep up a sufficient supply of jobs for the miners.

Boys engage in the afternoon shift acted in sympathy, and refused to descend the pit.

As a result the whole pit was thrown final and about 600 men were prevented from working.
