TEMPERANCE LECTURE.-

On Wednesday, Mr. Murray, of the British Temperance league, gave his popular lecture, entitled “Beware of pick pockets,” in the Wesleyan school room.

The chair was occupied by Mr. J. Dyson.

The room was well filled, and the constant enthusiasm displayed by the audience, testified how well they enjoyed the oration.

At the close the Rev. J. Pickup announced that the Wesleyan temperance society had succeeded in making arrangements with the British temperance league, to send a lecturer every month, and he trusted they would each give as good lecture as Mr. Murray had done.
