The Woman’s Career.

A report on Guthroe’s career was received on Saturday by the Nottingham police from the Liverpool constabulary.

It stated that her name was Elsie Guthroe, alias Florence Elsie Francis.

She had been convicted at Liverpool for drunkenness and soliciting, and had been imprisoned for a month for larceny. She was formerly well known to the Liverpool police under the name of Francis, which she changed to Guthroe, after having, as she stated, married a seaman of that name at Birkenhead.

It has also been established that one ounce of cyanide of potassium was purchased by Allaby on the day he left Liverpool for Mansfield, on January 10th, at the shop of Mr. Vincent Strawson, deceased stating he wanted it for photographic purposes.
