They Met The Stars

Five handicapped children from the Don and Dearne Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, were invited to the pantomime at Barnsley last week by the star, Hughie Green.

The children were Beverley Davies, of Thirwell Avenue, Conisbrough; Alec Buckley, of Broom-bill View, Bolton; Simon Spurr, of Anne Murphy, of Cutts Avenue, Wath, who were each given an ice cream by Hughie in the interval. After the show they were asked to remain in the theatre.

Hughie, with the rest of the cast including Tony Holland, Monica Rose and Saveen and Daisy May, came down to meet the children and talked to them for a while. Anglea Page, of Bramley, should have gone with the party hut she was in hospital and Hughie sent a get-well card and photograph to the hospital to her.
