New Keeper Signed

Denaby United manager Harry Lee has this week signed Gordon Smith, goalkeeper, who was formerly with league club Swansea Town.

Smith who lives at Tickhill, is a native of Doncaster and was with Doncaster Plant Works when he was signed by Swansea. He later returned to his native South Yorkshire and as being with league club Frickley colliery for the past three seasons, playing mainly with their first team.

Lee said this week: “We have one of the best ‘keepers in the Yorkshire league.”
