Mexborough and Swinton Times, May 31.

Wanting to Fight at Conisborough.

The defendant, whose case is reported below would now do well to change his name to “Badlose.”

John Goodwin, miner, New Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on May 18.

The defendant did not appear, and PC Kilner said the defendant got hold of people on the footpath and wanted to fight, in addition to using very bad language.

PC Richardson, corroborated, and the defendant was fined five shillings and 11 shilling costs.
