The wedding took place at Conisborough Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Dora Armitage, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs A. Armitage, 15, Chambers Avenue, Conisborough, and Mr. Leslie Lanceley, second son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lanceley, 33, Herbert Street, Mexborough.

Given away by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of oyster satin with veil and coronet of orange blossom and carried red roses. The bridesmaids, who received bracelets as gifts from the bridegroom, were Miss Mabel Adams and Miss Pamela Fearnehough, and were attired in mauve taffeta gowns with coronets to match and gold accessories. They carried posies of mauve violas.

The twin brother of the bride, Mr. Ben Armitage, was best man, and Mr. Richard Lanceley was groomsman. The bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her niece. Patricia Ann McKeown. The bridegroom is employed at Messrs. Bakers and Bessemers and received a cheque from his workmates.
