Wedding – Blythe & Shelton

The wedding took place on Saturday at St. Alban’s Church, Denaby Main, of Miss Margaret Blythe, youngest daughter of Mrs. A. Goddard and the late Mr. P. Blythe, of 29, Adison Road, Mexborough, and Mr. James Shelton, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Shelton. 87, Doncaster Road, Denaby Main.

The bride was given away by her stepfather. Mr. A. Goddard, and wore a tailored costume, navy blue accessories and a fox fur, the bridegroom’s gift to her. Carrying bronze chrysanthemums, she was attended by Mrs. C. Chadburn. Mrs. Chadburn received a gold necklace from the bridegroom.

Best man was Mr. H. Parry, and groomsman Mr. C. Chadburn. Among the gifts were fruit spoons and servers from colleagues of the bride at Messrs. F. W. Woolworths, Ltd.. Mexborough.
