Mr. R. Allen and Miss D. M. Booker (Conisborough).

A Conisborough youth who is serving  in the Royal Artillery, was married to a Conisborough girl who is a member of the W.A.A.F., at Conisborough Parish Church on Saturday, the bride being Miss Doris May Booker, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Booker, of 133. Park Road. Coniaborough, and the bridegroom Mr. Roy Allen J the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Allen, of 141, Park Road, Conisborough.

Given away by her father the bride was attired in a gown of white lace trimmed with white satin and head-dress to match and carried red roses. She was attended by Misses Miriam and Vera Allen, Miss Delia Ogley and Miss Elsie May Booker, who wore gowns of pink taffeta, blue lace trimmed with pink, blue taffeta trimmed with pink, and pink taffeta respectively, and they all carried pink carnations and fern.

Two smaller maids, Joan Callaghan and Hilda Booker, wore dresses of white organdie trimmed with blue satin and carried sweet peas and fern.

Mr. Norman Leonard Taylor was best man, and the groomsman was Mr. Horace Allen.

The bride has been in the W.A.A.F. for nearly a year, and her sister, Miriam, who was one of her bridesmaids, is a member of the A.T.S.

The bridegroom, who formerly worked at the Yorkshire Main Colliery, was called up on the outbreak of war.
