Wedding – Burkinshaw & Burton (picture)

The marriage was solemnised at Kilnhurst Parish Church on Saturday of Mr. George Burton, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Burton, 157, Doncaster Road, Conisbrough, and Miss Patricia Burkinshaw, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Burkinshaw. 9. Greenwood Road, Kilnhurst.

Given away by her father the bride wore a gown of white satin beaute with ruched bodice, wreath of orange blossom, and embroidered veil and carried pink carnations. Bridesmaids were Miss Elsie Marsh in gold taffeta, Miss Joan Bamford in dusky pink and Misses Mary Broadhead and Joyce Burkinshaw in mauve taffeta. All carried bronze chrysanthemums.

Mr. J. Wormley was best man and Mr. R. Burkinshaw groomsman. Both bride and bridegroom are members of Conisbrough Ivanhoe C.C., the latter being Social secretary.
