Miss Claribel Deakin, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Deakin, 18, Herbert Street, Mexborough was married at   Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday to Private Edwin Langford, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Langford, 73. Maltby Street, Denaby Main.

The bridegroom’s brother, Mr. Charles Langford, was best man, and the groomsman was Mr. Leslie Deakin, the bride’s brother. The bride was attired in a gown of white satin trimmed with gold and a veil and wreath of orange blossom and pearls, lent by her sister-in-law, Mrs. H. Deakin. Her bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums.

She was attended by Miss P. Langford, Miss D. Bounds. Miss I. Bounds and Miss A. Davis in taffeta dresses of gold, blue, green and mauve, and Miss M. Appleyard and Miss R. Langford in white and gold satin with silver haloes and shoes. The maids carried yellow chrysanthemums and received dress clips and identity bracelets from the bridegroom.
