The United Sunday Schools Wait Festival on Sunday will include a procession through the village and a gathering in the Castle grounds.
The procession starts from the Welfare Hall at 2.30, and move to the ground, where the crowning will take place of the new Queen, 13 years old, Patricia Ann Whitehead, daughter of Mr and Mrs J Whitehead, of Maple Grove, Conisbrough.
A pupil of Northcliffe High School, Patricia was chosen from Sunday School Pupils at St Andrews mission.
She has been a member of the St John Ambulance Brigade for about three years and recently passed her first aid and nursing examination.
Patricia’s father, Mr John Whitehead works at Denaby colliery.
