Bound over

Two Youths who were in a fight outside Conisbrough shop and who were bound over for three years at Doncaster West Riding magistrates court are John Horne (18), miner, Cedar Grove, Conisbrough, and Ronald David Lewins (17), fitter’s mate, Cadeby Avenue, Conisbrough.

Horne was alleged to have assaulted Lowe wins on June 12th, causing him actual bodily harm and he pleaded not guilty, the magistrates found the case proved but decided, in view of early clashes between the youths that both should be bound over. Lewin said that Horne attacked him as he came out of a shop, twice knocked him down, punched him and kicked him. Horne claimed that he had been twice assaulted by Lewin’s and overs and on this occasion he was provoked by Lewin’s who swore and hit him first.
